
Pleurodesis is a standard procedure in respiratory medicine that can be done in a number of ways, from minimally invasive through to a full surgical operation. This chapter concentrates on the medical procedure of chemical pleurodesis using sclerosing agents. The indications (usually malignant pleural effusions) and complications are discussed, and a clear description of ‘how to do it’ is included.
