Abstract The test ares included several plantings of various bermudagrasses (6-8 inch high) growing in sandy loam soil. Temperature was 22° - 33°C with rain showers on most days during the test period. Pesticides (1 application) were applied in water as 50 gal/acre with a Solo® 425 back-pack sprayer having 8006 nozzles. Treatments were randomized over the 4.6 x 19.0 ft plots in 5 blocks. Plots were surrounded by 2-5 ft of closely clipped grass. Three 2 ft2 areas (including grass and ground surface) were inspected in a systematic fashion across the long center line of each plot.
