
The aim of our study was also toinvestigate if the quality of medical records is associatedwith better metabolic control of diabetic patients of 15 health centres from the province of Segovia, Spain.Specific information items were considered as qualitycriteria of medical records.No relationship between the quality of the medicalrecords and HbA1c was found for the whole sample.However, amongst patients treated with diet or oraldrugs, HbA1c was 7.40 for medical records that achievedonly 49% of quality criteria, and 6.94 for records thatattained 50% [95% confidence interval (CI) of differ-ence: 0.03–0.9;
