Abstract

As has been mentioned, we must reinvent ourselves every so often if we are to stay alive. Mr Westaby introduced the first session by pointing out that there was a condition for which there was no known successful alternative treatment. We will now discuss minimally invasive surgical therapy. Some of you have questioned the definitions of ‘minimal’ and ‘invasive,’ and I hope by the end of today we will know a little more about both.
