Abstract

A 13-year-old girl presented with short, curly, rough-textured hair and diffuse hair fall from infancy. Hair examination revealed curly, short, dull, unruly and sparse scalp hair with reduced hair density. The hair-pull test was positive. Light microscopy of the proximal hair shaft showed a ‘floppy sock’ appearance of cuticle.
