NUCK CYSTS; THREE CASES TREATED WITH THE TEP TECHNIQUE

Abstract

Abstract The first noted case defect in the Canal of Nuck dates back to 1691 by Anton Nuck. The failure of the canal to close after birth or within the first year of life in female infants can lead to the formation of hydrocele or herniation of intra-abdominal structures through the patent Canal of Nuck. The cysts of the Canal of Nuck are also known as female hydroceles. In this video presentation, three cases are presented. The diagnosis was made based on the patient's history and clinical examination. The diagnosis was supported by ultrasound. The patient was exhibiting painful swelling in the inguinal region or even in the labia majora. Surgical intervention was approached with the TEP technique in all cases. Two cases had cysts on the left side and one patient had cysts on the right side. The cysts were dissected from the round ligament and were completely excised. Because of the annulus inguinalis frofundus was wide, the defect closed with mesh. The mesh is fixed with glue. In one of the cases, the peritoneal tear that occurred iatrogenic was also closed with glue. Considering that the patients were young and nulliparous, the round ligament was preserved in three patients. Dynamesh3D visible 10 × 15 cm. Liquiband FIX8 Glue.
