Quantum Cosmology

Abstract

Abstract This chapter presents the application of quantum gravity to the Universe as a whole. The concept of minisuperspace is introduced and discussed. Various solutions of the Wheeler-DeWitt equation are found and discussed. Structure formation is discussed as well as boundary conditions and singularity avoidance. Loop quantum cosmology is presented in a separate section.
