Abstract

Le sujet de cet article est la relation proposee par plusieurs specialistes entre le fabuleux orage, la crue et les destructions relates dans le texte de la Stele de la Tempete d'Ahmosis, l'eruption du volcan de l'ile de Thera (Cyclades) a la fin de l'Age du Bronze. Si elle est etablie, cette relation aurait un impact considerable sur la chronologie du monde egeen, la nature des relations egypto-egeennes et la credibilite de la datation dendro-vulcanologique. Selon l'auteur, cette hypothese ne peut etre soutenue : les evenements decrits semblent plutot caracteristiques des effets de la crue du Nil et des textes egyptiens decrivant la restauration de l'ordre par le pharaon
