Abstract

Verf. beschreibt nach einer Münchner Handschrift (Cod. Hebr. 36) den Inhalt einer bisher fast unbeachtet gebliebenen Enzyklopädie des Abraham Savasorda ($\dagger$ etwa 1136), der für die Übermittlung griechisch-arabischen mathematischen Wissens von großer Bedeutung ist. Die Enzyklopädie befaßt sich mit Arithmetik (Zahlenlehre), Rechenoperationen, kaufmännischem Rechnen, geometrischen Definitionen und praktischer Geometrie. Verf. untersucht Savasordas Quellen sowie dessen Einwirkung auf Leonardo von Pisa. Dessen Abhängigkeit zeigt sich deutlich aus der Gegenüberstellung einiger Sätze aus Savasordas ``Liber embadorum'' mit deren Fassung bei Leonardo. Freilich hat dieser vieles weiter ausgeführt und aus Eigenem hinzugegeben. Mit dem ``unbekannten ``Dimumot'', den Savasorda erwähnt, ist vielleicht Didymos gemeint.
