Algorithms are given for calculating the inclinations at which total eclipses become partial eclipses and partial eclipses become grazing eclipses. It is shown that the larger star in a contact or nearly contact system is so distorted in shape that it becomes self-eclipsing, as a shallow concavity develops near the point of contact. Algorithms are also given for calculating critical values of the Roche equipotential and for calculating the coordinates of some of the Lagrangian points.
citations This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 3
popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average
influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average
impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
