On montre que la courbure des jets radio des galaxies a forts decalages spectraux est une consequence naturelle de la plus grande densite du gaz dans les galaxies elliptiques dans le passe et de la stabilite ou de l'instabilite des orbites particulieres dans un potentiel triaxial. La courbure du jet est a un maximum a environ 1 kpc du noyau et l'etude de cette courbure peut fournir des informations concernant le gaz dans cette region de la galaxie. Le modele implique qu'il y a 10 9 -10 10 M ○. de gaz dans le noyau des galaxies a forts decalages spectraux et a jets courbes
