Long-slit spectroscopy, covering the wavelength range 3600-4600 A at 5.3 A FWHM resolution, has been obtained for a sample of seven elliptical and S0 galaxies. The two-dimensional spectra have been spatially binned to provide good signal-to-noise ratio (S/N∼40 per 5.3 A spectral resolution element), spatially resolved spectra out to 0.5-1 half-light radii. Spectral indices have been extracted from the binned spectra, and correlations among the indices have been examined. The CN-D(4000) diagram is shown to be effective at separating the effects of metallicity and age on the integrated spectra
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 9 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
