Considerations Regarding Interstellar Molecules

Abstract

An attempt has been made to compute the numbers of certain molecules in interstellar space. The results obtained are unfavorable to Saha's identification of one of Merrill's interstellar lines with Na2. A search for the bands of CH, OH, NH, CN, and C2 would appear to be promising.
