Software has been developed to automate the intricate and tedious process of stellar line identification. A set of unknown stellar wavelengths and intensities is compared with a master multiplet list composed of the Revised Multiplet Table plus extensions. Potential identifications are evaluated on the basis of several criteria including Cowley's wavelength coincidence statistics, wavelength displacement, and the orderly filling of the associated multiplet. All data for each unknown stellar line are displayed and the user interactively decides on the best identifications. To aid in this process another identification of a similar star can be simultaneously displayed. Comparisons with line identifications by Bidelman and by Adelman show virtually complete agreement.
