In 1955, Commissions 27 and 29 of the International Astronomical Union authorized a limited attack on the problem of the lack of identification charts for variable stars of current interest.1 Since that time, the situation has improved materially with the publication of charts for some 2800 variables discovered at the Sonneberg Observatory,2 and for 42 stars found at the Harvard College Observatory.3 The present note contains identification charts for 12 variables discovered at the Hamburg-Bergedorf, Heidelberg, Union, McCormick, and Moscow observatories. YY Herculis and V605 Aquilae are identified here on the basis of original Lick material, although their variability was discovered elsewhere. Plate I contains charts for the six variables listed in Table I.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 7 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
