ABSTRACTVegetative in vitro multiplication is one of the most efficient methods for sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) propagation. The usual steps in this procedure are sterilization of explant, multiplication, rhizogenesis and acclimatization. In the paper is presented development of regeneration and multiplication techniques from different explants. It gives a detailed description of further micropropagation steps and presents necessary conditions for their realization. The paper also discuss different ways of micropropagation application especially in sugar beet breeding, but in other plant sciences as well.
