Abstract

The new depsidones subnorstictic acid (1,4,10-trihydroxy-8-methyl-3,7-dioxo-1,3-dihydro-7H-isobenzofuro-[4,5-b][1,4]benzodioxepin-11-carbaldehyde) (4), decarboxyalectoronic acid [3,8-dihydroxy-1,6-di(2'-oxo-heptyl)-11H-dibenzo[ b,e ][1,4]dioxepin-11-one] (8) and di-O-methylphysodic acid [3,8-dimethoxy-11-oxo-1-(2'-oxoheptyl)-6-pentyl-11H-dibenzo[ b,e ][1,4]dioxepin-7-carboxylic acid] (15) have been identified in lichen extracts.
