Fabrication of the post and core generally precedes fabrication of the final restoration. Several techniques have been described for making a post and core pattern with autopolymerzing acrylic resin or wax to retrofit an existing crown.1-5 This tip presents a modification of the technique described by Priest and Goerig.4 In our experience, the described procedure is easy and predictable, and it ensures the presence of adequate cement space for the final restoration.
