Visualization of processes in an engine with a rotating detonation wave

Abstract

The present paper discusses the use of the HDVIS (High Definition VISualization) program to consider features in modelling of a detonation engine. In the visual processing of the fields of gas-dynamic reacting flows, almost the entire set of graphical description of the flows is used: from constructing a three-dimensional volumetric image or isosurfaces of scalar fields to the visual presentation of the motion of films or flow layers on bearing surfaces when analyzing the solution of gas dynamics problems. Some features of the visual treatment using an in-house program are presented on the example of three-dimensional modeling of supersonic flows in an engine with a rotating detonation wave.
