We present the evidence within QCD (spectral sum rules, low energy theorems and current algebra for the pseudoscalar nonet) that the G(1.6) meson seen at GAMS is a relatively pure gluonion states. The suppression of the G(1.6) coupling to Goldstone boson pairs being consistent with the existence of a low mass σ(0.9) state which saturates the 〈P ‖ θ μμ‖P〉 vertex (P≡π,K). We present a crude estimate of the G, f0 (1.3) and σ two photon widths and of their production in ψ and Υ radiative decays.
