The nuclear magnetic resonance of 167Er in ErFe2 and Er0.9 La0.1Fe2 has been studied at 1.2K using pulse spin-echo-techniques. We have observed ’’satellite’’ spectra in Er0.9La0.1Fe2. From the observed spectra in both compounds, the various contributions to the hyperfine field seen by the Er nucleus are deduced. Preliminary spin-lattice relaxation time measurements suggest the Weger mechanism (relaxation via magnon-conduction electron coupling) to be predominant.
