The results of MOssbauer and crystal chemical experiments on specimens of silicon‐substituted YIG prepared by solid state reaction indicate that the Fe2+ ion content is substantially lower than the Si4+ content resulting in large concentrations of cation vacancies. These vacancies can occur in all three types of cation sites. It is highly probable that some of the small number of Fe2+ ions present are in dodecahedral sites. The results of MOssbauer and crystal chemical experiments on specimens of silicon‐substituted YIG prepared by solid state reaction indicate that the Fe2+ ion content is substantially lower than the Si4+ content resulting in large concentrations of cation vacancies. | selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 5 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
