Abstract

The problem of cosmic ray origin is briefly discussed. The discussion covers the acceleration in supernova remnants, the diffusion model of cosmic ray propagation in the Galaxy, the nature of “knee” in cosmic ray spectrum, and the connection to gamma‐ray astronomy.
