Abstract

Der psychopathologische Befund ist das wichtigste diagnostische Instrument des Psychiaters. Über die Kriterien für seine Erhebung besteht in der Fachgruppe weitgehend Konsens. Die Einigung auf konsensfähige Kriterien ist eine große Errungenschaft, ein sicherer Pfosten im schwankenden Terrain der Psyche, den die Psychiatrie sich erst erarbeiten musste. Der psychopathologische Befund ist insofern „objektiv“, als mehrere Untersucher in einer gegebenen Situation im Wesentlichen zum gleichen Ergebnis kommen sollten. Spekulation, Intuition, Deutung, Interpretation oder eine moralische Bewertung des Patienten sind nicht die Aufgaben der Psychopathologie. Die psychopathologische Befunderhebung erfordert reine Beobachtungsgabe, Geschick in der Gesprächsführung und Kenntnisse der Psychopathologie, die jedoch erlern- und erfahrbar sind.
