Abstract

Die proliferative vitreoretinale Retinopathie (PVR) ist die schwerste Komplikation der vitreoretinalen Chirurgie. Die PVR ist durch eine komplexe zellulare Reaktion charakterisiert, die einer vitreoretinalen Wundheilungsreaktion entspricht und zu traktiven und durch Membranen fixierten Netzhautablosungen fuhrt. Die Entfernung von aktiven Zellen und Membranen und insbesondere die komplette Glaskorperentfernung ist ein rationales Behandlungsziel, das nur chirurgisch erreicht werden kann.
