THIS ARTICLE DESCRIBES a case study about teamwork—everyone working together, from all disciplines and from across multiple units, to accomplish the necessary critical elements that made a significant difference in a patient outcome. The team consisted of the surgical service, the nursing staff on the general floor, the nursing supervisor, the float pool stat nurse, the neurosurgery resident, the Radiology department, the PACU staff, and the 9th floor Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit.
