Proposed is a faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) broadcast receiver architecture that is based on iterative turbo equalisation. Simulation results for this receiver show that FTN broadcasting can perform close to the capacity boundaries of the Gaussian broadcast channel. This makes FTN broadcasting a viable alternative to prior capacity achieving broadcasting techniques, e.g. superposition coding and dirty paper coding.
