This paper introduces the analytical step of transmission box lightweight. First, Pro/E software is used to establish the three dimensional Mathematical Model of the box, then ANSYS Workbench software is applied to carry out the finite element analysis . After the data are post-processed by ANSYS Workbench, the stress, strain and deformation of the box are obtained, which provides a basis for the optimization of transmission boxes.
