Abstract

Cyclic disulfides (CH2)nS2 (n = 3, 4, 5) are efficiently prepared via solventless pyrolysis of Bi(iii) dithiolates Bi2[S(CH2)nS]3 obtained from the reaction of Bi2O3 and dithiols.
