Novel (pipH2)[Co(TDA)2] is a rare example of a quasi-octahedral Co(ii) complex with mixed sulfur-oxygen environment exhibiting strong “easy-plane” type magnetic anisotropy and demonstrating field-induced single-ion magnet (SIM) behavior.
