A 26-year-old Asian female initially presented to the emergency department with transient abdominal pain following a motor vehicle accident. Further evaluation by computed tomography of the abdomen incidentally revealed multiple cysts in the left kidney resembling autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (Figures 1 and 2). Family history was negative for kidney disease. Physical examination, urinalysis, serum creatinine, and electrolyte concentrations were normal. Ultrasound imaging of the parents and four adult siblings showed normal kidneys.
