Zirkind and Freeman1 have pointed out the increase in the electrical conductivity of ammonium perchlorate crystals on irradiation with 0.637-MeV caesium-137 γ-rays. In this communication, results are reported from an investigation of the electrical conductivity of ammonium perchlorate solid as a function of temperature and gaseous atmosphere. Data concerning the electrical conductivity of ammonium perchlorate were not found in the literature.
