BASE ratios can be determined with microelectrophoresis (microphoresis) in as little as 5 × 10−10 g RNA1, a sensitivity which permits intracellular analysis in suitable material. It would be of interest for turn-over studies to evaluate radioactivity in the separated RNA components. Autoradiography is the simplest tool for this purpose, both because of its sensitivity and high resolution.
