Plans for the joint Department of Defense (DoD)‐NASA spacecraft Clementine to continue to film the asteroid Geographos have been officially canceled.Yet project scientists are using the opportunity to test how the robot spacecraft fares in Earth's radiation belts. There is speculation that the twenty‐three experimental technologies aboard the craft may be more sensitive than proven technologies to radiation because of their minute size.
