Abstract This is the third part of a three paper review of homogenization and topology optimization. In the first two papers the homogenization theory and solution of the equations for different material models to be used in topology optimization by the homogenization method are described. In this paper, the mathematical model for the topological structural optimization is constructed and derivation of the related optimality criteria is explained. A modified resizing scheme is suggested. Finally, in explaining the employed algorithm some illustrative examples are provided.
| citations This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 201 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 1% | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 1% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% |
