Summary Enthalpies of solvation of alkali halides in formamide, N-methylformamide, N-methylacetamide, N,N-dimethylformamide, water, methanol and ammonia have been divided into the contributions of the separate ions by means of two splitting procedures. The first one is based on the continuum model, the second on a discontinuous model of ionic solvation. Resulting values of the enthalpies of solvation of alkali and halide ions in the different solvents show that the splitting procedure according to the discontinuous approach is superior.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 9 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% |
