RESUMENLa formación de equipos multidisciplinarios (EMD) en el manejo de patologías complejas es en la actualidad ampliamente recomendado y en el caso de los pacientes quemados graves es el estándar de tratamiento. En este artículo se revisa la conformación de EMD en quemados de acuerdo a la literatura y su implementación en el equipo tratante del Centro de Derivación Nacional para el tratamiento del Gran Quemado en Chile, al igual que sus interrelaciones y roles principales. Se discuten los desafíos futuros y las oportunidades de crecimiento.SUMMARYMultidisciplinary teams (MDT) represent a recognized component in the treatment of complex medical conditions. In the treatment of burns is recommended as the standard of care. In this article we discuss the dynamics and functioning of MDT in burns and the implementation of the Burns Team in the National Center for Burns in Chile. Future challenges and possibilities for modernization are treated.
