Manejo del dolor en reparación artroscópica del manguito de los rotadores. Revisión de conceptos actuales

Abstract

Resumen A pesar de que la reparacion artroscopica del manguito de los rotadores ofrece muchas ventajas sobre la reparacion abierta, como menor traumatismo sobre el deltoides, reduccion en la tasa de rigidez postoperatoria del hombro y mejor rehabilitacion postoperatoria junto con menor morbilidad, aquella continua siendo un procedimiento doloroso, especialmente durante las primeras 48 horas del postoperatorio. El plan de manejo del dolor postoperatorio siempre debe estar enfocado hacia la analgesia multimodal, definida como el uso de varias tecnicas y medicamentos analgesicos con diferentes mecanismos de accion perifericos o centrales del sistema nervioso con efecto sinergico para mayor eficacia analgesica, comparada con su accion individual.
