Efectos de la frecuencia semanal de entrenamiento sobre la hipertrofia y la fuerza muscular en individuos entrenados

Abstract

Objetivo. Comparar los efectos sobre la hipertrofia y la fuerza muscular de dos rutinas de entrenamiento con el mismo volumen y diferente frecuencia de entrenamiento semanal. Metodo. Catorce sujetos entrenados (22±2 anos) se dividieron en 2 grupos experimentales que entrenaron durante 6 semanas. Un grupo (G1) entreno cada grupo muscular una vez por semana con una rutina Split de entrenamiento, y el otro grupo (G2) entreno cada grupo muscular tres veces por semana con una rutina Fullbody. Se realizo un volumen semanal de nueve series de repeticiones por cada grupo muscular. Se midio la composicion corporal, los perimetros musculares y la fuerza maxima mediante test de una repeticion maxima (1RM) antes y despues del entrenamiento. Resultados. Se produjo un aumento de la hipertrofia muscular en ambos grupos, aunque sin diferencias significativas entre ellos. En relacion con la fuerza muscular, G1 obtuvo mayores mejoras que G2 en los test de 1RM de press de banca (11.2±4.3 vs. 7.3±3.6kg), curl de biceps (3.1±0.8 vs. 2.2±0.7kg) y elevaciones laterales (2.9±1 vs. 1.6±0.8kg). Conclusiones. Ambas rutinas de entrenamiento con un mismo volumen semanal produjeron efectos similares sobre la hipertrofia muscular, sin embargo, la rutina en Split resulto mas efectiva que la rutina Fullbody para producir aumentos de la fuerza muscular del tren superior, no asi en el tren inferior.
