Custom implant abutments can be difficult to invest because of the narrow and long screw space that must be completely filled with the investment material. Conventional investing techniques may result in voids in the investment, which may result in the presence of metal in the screw chamber. This article describes a method to overcome these difficulties and also avoid the need for vibration and/or application with a paint brush.
