In this work, we modelled with a CFD technique, based on a finite-volume algorithm, the permeability of gases at different relative humidities in short-side chain and long-side-chain ionomer membranes suitable for fuel cells, namely Aquivion and Nafion 117. The modelling results are then compared to experimental data previously published, which show a strong effect of the humidity on the gas permeability in such membranes
