Abstract This volume presents the selected papers of young computational scientists – participants of YSC’2018. Annual Young Scientist Conferences (YSC) in computational science are traditionally held since 2012 by the University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and ITMO University (St. Petersburg, Russia) as the open international event, which aim to develop a dialogue about the present and future of computational science with a focus on applications of modeling and simulation solving a wide range of problems of science, industry, and business.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 2 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
