
Resumen El embarazo heterotopico es la coexistencia de un embarazo intrauterino y de otro extrauterino. Puede presentarse de 2 maneras: inducida (relacionado con tecnicas de fertilizacion in vitro, incidencia de 1:1.000 hasta 1:1.500 embarazos) o espontanea (frecuencia de 1:20.000 hasta 1:80.000 embarazos, sus factores causales son: enfermedad pelvica inflamatoria, uso de dispositivo intrauterino o de hormonales, cirugia pelvica previa o embarazo ectopico anterior). Observamos antecedentes de gemelaridad en la familia de 2 casos espontaneos que se presentan.
