
Abstract Intratympanic steroid therapy is an important treatment modality for managing certain inner ear pathology. Indications for intratympanic steroid injections include sudden sensorineural hearing loss, Meniere's disease, autoimmune inner ear disease and acoustic trauma. In this article, we discuss the evidence supporting various indications for intratympanic steroid therapy and describe the technical steps necessary to perform intratympanic injections.
