The LHCb experiment has an exciting potential for charm physics studies. A dedicated D ∗ trigger will provide 108 events per 2 fb −1 of flavour tagged D 0 → h h decays, which will give unprecedented sensitivity in searches for D 0 mixing and CP violation. The same sample provides an invaluable calibration signal for the experiment's performance, in particular that of the RICH detector. This programme will be described, and initial Monte Carlo studies presented.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 3 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
