Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Lokalisation kortikal generierter EEG-Potentiale und deren Abgrenzung von extra-kortikal generierten EEG-Artefakten erfolgt im klinischen Alltag vornehmlich durch das Prinzip visueller Mustererkennung und einfacher Regeln der Lokalisationsdiagnostik. Diese Regeln basieren auf international gultigen Polaritatskonventionen, welche die visuelle Darstellung einer Spannungsdifferenz einschlieslich deren Polaritat an beiden Eingangen eines EEG-Differenzverstarkes eindeutig festlegen. Insbesondere mit digitalen EEG-Geraten lassen sich diese einfachen Analyseverfahren flexibel nutzen. Im vorliegenden Artikel werden zunachst die physikalischen Grundlagen der digitalen EEG-Technik sowie deren Begrenzung durch haufige, in der analog-digitalwandlung bedingte Artefakte vorgestellt. Es folgt ein Uberblick uber die Prinzipien der Lokalisationsdiagnostik durch Anwendung der Polaritatskonventionen in den verschiedenen Schaltungsformen. Es werden im Einzelnen die Nutzung der instrumentellen Phasenumkehr in bipolaren Reihenschaltungen sowie die Bestimmung der Amplitudenmaxima in den verschiedenen Referenzschaltungen zur Lokalisationsdiagnostik dargestellt.
