Abstract Bi2Te3/graphite nanocomposite samples were prepared by mixing different weight percentage of graphite (x=0.0, 0.5 and 1.0) with Bi2Te3 and then subsequently ball milled. XRD results indicate the solid state insolubility of graphite phases in Bi2Te3 as no shift was observed in the peaks corresponding to Bi2Te3 in the composite samples. We investigated Seebeck coefficient S, conductivity σ, thermal conductivity κ, and, hence, the thermoelectrical figure of merit ZT in the temperature interval 80 K
