Abstract This paper analyzes the mechanical and mathematical models in “Ritto et al. (2013) [1]”. The results are that: (1) the mechanical model is obviously incorrect; (2) the mathematical model is not complete; (3) the differential equation is obviously incorrect; (4) the finite element equation is obviously not discretized from the corresponding mathematical model above, and is obviously incorrect. A mathematical model of dynamics should include the differential equations, the boundary conditions and the initial conditions.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 5 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
