Abstract The primary objective of this paper is the optimization of the new non-circular spinning process. To this end, a numerical process simulation was conducted. The optimization approach (based on the numerical simulation) entails the targeted adaption of the roller feed rate and of the operating angle of the roller tool during the process. As a result of the process optimization, the sheet thinning could be reduced by nearly 30%.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 20 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
