Abstract

The intricate and delicate anatomy of the external ear (auricle) makes reconstruction a daunting task for beginning as well as experienced surgeons. The complex framework of the auricle is composed of graceful curves, peaks, and valleys of a thin pliable uniform thickness of cartilage. This article discusses techniques for reconstruction of the auricle.
